The genocide of Tamils is taking place in Sri Lanka and it seems like George Bush's "war on terror" policy is being exploited in an unjustful way to quench the thirst of the national extremism of the Sinhala majority in Sri Lanka.

Is this how the so-called "war of terror" looks like?

According to the American ambassador to Sri Lanka, Robert Orris Blake, Jr (who still keeps up George Bush's foreign policy) and India, Pakistan and China ( weapon suppliers to Sri Lanka) there is no such nothing going on there. But the pictures, videos, certain foreign journals and statements of the ICRC and various NGO's are telling a different story, one that is close enough to be identifiable as genocide of the Tamil minority.

U.S should intervene in this conflict and bring this to an end.

Though I'm glad that official war is over, I'm sure that it could be years before the hostility dies down and all the wrongs are corrected. I wish the people of Sri Lanka peace and resolution.

What else can we do about this?? We should petition or do a peaceful march or something honoring these people and asking for our leaders to do something... what if we all did this around the globe? What are thoughts on this?

I feel that the Tamils deserve their rightful land back, and the Sri Lankan government must be charged with war crimes just like the Rwandan government. The Sri Lankan government has no right to kill innocent Tamil civilians. That is why I feel that it is important to make this pledge.

The US must convince the UN to intervene in Sri Lanka to STOP the killing of Tamils. the sinhala dominated government of srilanka is committing GENOCIDE against Tamils. The UN must intervene to PROTECT the Tamils.

The Tamils in Sri Lanka have had their rights trampled upon for decades. They seek nothing but a dignified co-existence with the Sinhala majority. If Sri Lanka does not care for them, India must do its rightful duty and offer a welcoming home to all displaced Tamils. This is a community perhaps poor in wealth, but vastly rich in culture and spirituality.... empathetic Indian

The situation is worsening and we need to act.
when the holocaust occurred the world said they would have acted if they knew. But why are they not acting even after knowing about the Sri Lankan genocide????

Tamils are being systematically eradicated by Sri Lankan Government. This has to stop otherwise there will be no Tamils in Tamil Eelam.
